At the end of August 2010 the customs officers in the Port of Koper made a risk analysis of containers loaded on a cargo-carrying vessel arriving from China. Among 1734 containers unloaded in Koper 17 were selected for a detailed control. The mobile X-ray scanner images showed the possibility of smuggling in one of the containers. The customs officers decided for physical examination of the shipment. The declared bags were in the front rows only and behind them 12.880 kilo of undeclared smoking tobacco was found.
