Although Europe is a single market, transporting goods across borders still generates a heavy administrative workload and complex paperwork. Often, various agencies in different countries are involved and international traders need to liaise with a number of corresponding Customs offices. Customs administrations in Europe are regulated by the European Commission which requires of all importers and exporters in the 27 member states to provide common customs data.
EurTradeNet is a Europe-wide network of expert Customs-related service providers that has developed a common digital framework called Common Access Point enabling customers to submit electronic customs declarations to different national customs administrations.
ETN has developed a common data language which gives any pan-European importer access to over 12 EU Customs Authorities.
The following video on ETN was recorded by MC Media Consulta in the Port of Koper and shows the important role of the Slovenian Customs in facilitating trade and supporting the international supply chain.
