Exchange of web portals experience between Polish and Slovenian Customs service

Within the Customs 2007 programme, two representatives of the Polish Customs service paid a visit to the Slovenian Customs from 6 to 9 March 2007.
The purpose of the visit was to learn of experience of the Slovenian Customs as regards Internet/Intranet web site reform.
The programme of the visit consisted of two parts. After presentation of the experiences, the use of IT sources in daily work at the Port of Koper and at the Dragonja border crossing was presented to the visitors.
Along with general information about Slovenia and the Slovenian Customs, the history of the Customs web sites reform, future plans, means of public access to the customs information, topology of the network, IT system architecture, drafting on-line information and organisation of its publication, and TYPO3 system (used by the Slovenian Customs as an interface for publication of on-line information) were described to the Polish colleagues.
