During 55th International Customs Winter Games held from 28 to 31 January 2008 in Val di Fiemme, Italy, sportwomen and sportmen employed at the Slovenian Customs Administration won four gold medals and one bronze medal.
The Slovenian representation of four members was the smallest of all, but since they fought heartily and bravely they won a victory over numerically superior skiers from Austria, France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
Gold medal winners were Bernard Vajdič in giant slalom, Vesna Fabjan in five kilometres cross-country skiing and again Vesna Fabjan together with Katja Višnar in seven kilometres relay of cross country skiing. Bernard Vajdič was also excellent in slalom and won bronze medal.
The next, 56th International Customs Winter Games will be organised by the Slovenian Customs Administration on Pokljuka and in Kranjska Gora in January 2009.
